Part 2 of the Exclusive Article Series
In this series, I share the 7 key principles that have helped me grow my business to 7-figures while staying balanced and sane. I want you to have a solid, sustainable foundation that allows you to grow your profits and impact with true freedom and joy.
In part 1 of this series, I shared Key #1: Set realistic monetary, personal, and professional goals to grow in healthy stages.
Here’s part 2, enjoy!
Key #2: Get solid Joint Performance Team Venture Partners(PTVP)
For every stage of your business, you want to build healthy, strong relationships with referral partners who can help you multiply your reach, fast!
Joint Venture typically means a profit-creating project or cross promotional arrangement between two businesses for their mutual benefit – everyone wins!
Joint Ventures – often called referral partnerships – are the BEST source of potential clients for you because you are promoted through a trusted leader people know.
Because your referral partner endorses you to his/her community, the people who come to you through that channel are much “warmer” and likely to trust YOU.
So how to create a solid PTJV relationship? Follow these 2 key steps:
1. Find the right Performance Team partners you can grow with .
The mistake I see so many entrepreneurs make when finding PTJV partners, is to try to partner with PTJVs who are too big, too fast. The truth is, you want to go with bigger PTJV partners as you get bigger.
The best way to start is to find PTJV’s who are a few steps ahead of you with slightly larger lists. If you only have 100 people on your list, you want to work with someone who has a list of 1,000- 3,000. If you have 4,000, then find someone who has 6,000 – 10,000 people on theirs.
That said, there can be magical moments in any entrepreneur’s life where you get the opportunity to talk to a rock star potential JV partner who is miles ahead of you – and it doesn’t hurt to ask them about a win-win.
At the very least, you can let them know you’re fast growing and would love advice on what criteria would help build a great PTJV partnership for them. Then, take their advice and return to ask them to partner with you when you’re ready!
2. Create a solid win-win agreement based on Integrity and Trust
Create a great win-win way to “play” with these partners – in other words, cross promote each other. It may be a direct exchange of email promotion, or an interview series that you invite them to be a partner on, or it could even look like having something they offer as a bonus when your clients purchase your program.
Be clear on exactly what you both agree to offer each other and have a written agreement. Keep in regular contact with your partner, treat them with honor and respect, keep your word and make sure to create great results for your partner.
Key #3: Build a strong Community and List.
Building your list is one of the most important activities you can do to ensure a solid pathway to 6-figures and 7-figures. Joint Venture partners are a great way to expand your reach and multiply your list to add the clients that are perfect for you. Building your list needs to be a constant activity for your business, even beyond these partnerships.
Here are a top 2 ways to build your list beyond PTVP’s:
1.Contribute articles and wisdom to popular e-zines and blogs that your ideal clients read.
This is a great way to establish your credibility and expertise in your industry. Do your research to know what the hottest topics are that your ideal client wants to learn.
Make sure your article or blog post links back to an opt-in page on your website where people can sign up for an irresistible free gift from you.
In addition to guest authoring e-zines, you can share your articles on free online article directories like ezinearticles.com. This is a great way to get more exposure – be sure to include an “About the Author” paragraph with a link to your website.
2.Create short educational online videos
Videos are one of the most effective and untapped sources of potential clients. Millions of people visit youtube.com and look for informative videos there much like they would ask a search engine for information.
Post short educational videos (2-5 minutes) with a single tip or secret that answers a burning question your ideal clients have. In your video include an invitation to your website where people can go to receive a free irresistible gift.
I recommend including your opt-in page url at the bottom of the screen in every free video so people always know where to go to receive more value from you!
